Aftercare

Aftercare Advice

  • Avoid extreme heat for 24hrs.  Including very hot baths/showers, steam rooms, saunas & jacuzzi’s.
Heat aggravates the skin and as the pores are still open it is possible to pick up infections from public places
  • Avoid the sun & sun beds for 24hrs
  • Heat reaction is common for a few hours after treatment – this is quite normal.  Follow the aftercare advice
and the skin will return to normal within 24hrs.  Any reaction that is still present after 24hrs and worsens it maybe
advisable to seek medical advice from a Dr – it is possible that there is an allergic reaction to the wax.  (we use waxes
of the best quality Perron Rigot and are hypoallergenic so this is not something that we see much of)
  • Waxing does remove dead skin so skin colour may be a little lighter immediately following treatment.  This will return to normal
    within a few hours
  • Do not use deodrant or perfum on any area that has been waxed for 24hrs as this could make the area sensitive
  • Avoid using make-up following facial hair removal that day, mineral make up is fine
  • Avoid wearing tight clothing following waxing as this may cause irritation to the area that has been waxed
  • Exfoliate a couple of times a week and apply E45 lotion after you have bathed/showered – this will help to avoid ingrown hairs
